Board Values

The NCCS Board is committed to providing leadership to ensure student success, staff support, and fiscal responsibility within the District.  For the next two years, the Board has set the following goals:

  1. To help each student score Basic or higher on the English Language Arts and Math California Standards Tests;
  2. To increase positive interactions between NCCS staff, Board, administration, parents, and the community;
  3. To provide all students have access to high quality, Board adopted, current curriculum, esp. English and Math;
  4. To ensure that each student needing assistance is provided with that assistance; and
  5. To give each teacher the support and professional development needed to meet State requirements and the changing educational standards.

This year, the Board has held three open study sessions around District goals and budget issues.  All stakeholders, parents, community members, and staff, are encouraged to attend any public meeting of the Board.
