Superintendent/Principal

Kevin Kurtz

As the Superintendent/Principal here at North Cow Creek, it is an honor and a privilege to serve the students, staff, parents, and community.

At North Cow Creek we are about family -- life like it used to be!  We work hard to create an environment that supports the social, emotional and academic growth of students. We want students to feel valued and an integral part of making North Cow Creek a great place to learn and grow.

We are also about academics and preparation -- education as it should be! Instruction is based on a set of standards and strategies that help students develop the skills they will need to successfully navigate their future: critical thinking, collaboration, communication, creativity, and strong character.

In addition to family and academics, we believe North Cow Creek School is unique in our approach as we immerse our students in a school culture that also includes opportunities for students to develop strong character, habits of effectiveness, athletic skills, and visual/performing arts skills. Building leadership skills is an essential component as we help our students learn and use "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People," take an active role in setting learning goals, and participating in leadership roles.

The school district’s Board of Trustees believe in providing a safe, supporting, and positive learning environment for all students and staff. Our district is compelled to create partnerships with parents who are actively involved in all aspects, and in all grade levels of their children’s educational journey so that our students will benefit and grow.

In closing, it is my personal goal to be a positive, enthusiastic leader and work collaboratively to ensure we continue the tradition of excellence. I invite you to become involved and help make this a successful, awesome and rewarding school year!
