Mrs. Moore's Second Grade Supplies--2011-2012
My 2nd graders each need to bring a bag of money for Everyday Math lessons: to consist of 20 pennies, 5 nickels, 10 dimes and 4 quarters. No other individual supplies are needed other than their own backpack. Classroom supplies that parents could donate (and would be appreciated!) are: antibacterial hand soap, hand sanitizer, glue sticks, expo pens for dry erase boards.
Third Grade Supplies--2011-2012
For 3rd grade, students need pencils, erasers, 1-2 red pens, white lined paper (not notebooks). Nice but not necessary, glue stick and pencil sharpener.
Mr. Lawson’s Supply List 2011-2012
With many retailers offering great deals on school supplies this time of year, it’s a good idea to buy school supplies in bulk. Here is a list for both 5th and 6th graders of some of the things you will need to be prepared for work in my History, Reading, and Language Arts classrooms. Consider the quantities listed here to be suggestions. The top priority items for me will always be pencil and paper, followed by binders and folders for organizing homework. If you show up every day with those items, you will be taking the first step toward having a great year!
- binder paper, 81/2” X 11”, (5 reams)
- 1-2 doz. pencil cap erasers
- 3-4 doz. Dixon Ticonderoga pencils (or any quality brand)
- 1 box colored pencils
- 1 box fine-line markers (black Flair pens or Sharpies)
- 6 2-pocket folders (no prongs)
- 3-4 spiral notebooks (wide rule)
- 2 lg. book covers for textbooks
- highlighters
I did not include a 3-ring binder with dividers on this list, however, with three different teachers and three classrooms to go to every day, I would suggest at least one to keep yourself organized. Also, there may be items not on this list that Mrs. Grabek and Mrs. Willhite will require, or there may be things you need for all three teachers. Use your best judgement in case of overlap.
I hope this isn’t too confusing! If you have any questions or concerns, you can call (530-549-4488 ext.105) or email me (glawson@shastalink.k12.ca.us) and I’ll be glad to help clear things up for you. I hope everyone had a relaxing summer. I can’t wait to get started on a new school year! See you soon,
Mr. Lawson

Seventh Grade Supplies--2011-2012
Back To Class
NCCS 7th Grade
2011/2012 Mrs. Flagg
Welcome to Jr. High!
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you back for another year at North Cow Creek School. This promises to be a very exciting and fun-filled year.
The goal of 7th grade is to begin preparation for high school and to help each student become a productive young adult in their community. This is accomplished through an enriched environment that will help the student grow intellectually, physically, and emotionally. I believe in the continued promotion of self-esteem and independence by providing a safe, balanced, and complete classroom setting.
Much of the 7th grade curriculum is activity and project based putting emphasis on the California Curriculum Based Standards. Expectations are high for each student, but with continued support from parents and teachers, students will rise to the challenge of the year and successfully move on to the 8th grade.
As always, there are a few “business” items that I need to take care of. Hopefully, you can still take advantage of the great school supply sales at local businesses around town.
