Composition
The NCCS School Site Council is comprised of five (5) parents, three (3) certificated staff members, the Principal/Superintendent, and one other community member. All members serve a two year term and are elected by their peers.
Responsibilities of Site Council
The Site Council has an ongoing responsibility to review with the principal, teachers and other school personnel the implementation of school and district plans (including School-Based Coordinated Program, Title I, Compensatory Education, Safety, and Local Education Agency plans) and to assess, periodically, the effectiveness of such programs. Modifications or any improvement to the plan shall be developed, recommended, and approved or disapproved in the same manner. The council shall carry out all other duties and responsibilities assigned to it in the California Education Code (School-Based Coordinated Act, Ed. Section 52800-52870).
