Events Happening This and Next Week:

Red Ribbon Week

This week is Red Ribbon Week, which is a week to tell everyone not to do drugs, and alcohol. Mr. Brown, has returned to speak with the school about drugs and alcohol. He did a great job last year, and has yet again to make many students at North Cow Creek, to both learn about the right things and to LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!! Also, during Red Ribbon Week, students from 3rd, 6th, and 8th, will be holding a poster contest. There will not be a prize for a singel individual, but for every one who participated in this event. The prize will be a red, drug- free awareness pencil.

A LITTLE REMINDER:

This Thursday, October 20, 2011, PLEASE WEAR RED!!! A red shirt of any kind would be great, and show that you are supportive of Red Ribbon Week.

Important Contest:

On October 22, 2011, North Cow Creek held a chalk art drawing contest. The art was incredible and will be encouraged next year. The winners were in grades such as third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth. Great Job to all who participated in this event!

Character Counts Week:

Character Counts Week is a very important week, and this event starts on October 25, 2011, and ends October 28, 2011. This week is all about how your character counts and how you make a difference in this world. Stdents will be awarded by citezenship, and or responsibility. Students will then get a surprise, and will be recognized for his/ her accomplishments.
