About Us Home
North Cow Creek School

Leader in Me is a school-wide program inspired by Stephen Covey’s 8 Habits that helps students build important life skills like responsibility, goal-setting, and teamwork. Families play a big role, too! Parents can support what students are learning by practicing these habits at home through simple activities, family conversations, and staying connected with school events such as student-led conferences. Using the companion guides, families can explore habits like Be Proactive and Think Win-Win together—helping everyone grow, collaborate, and succeed.

Meet Our Student Lighthouse Team
Our Student Lighthouse Team is a dedicated group of student leaders who serve as role models and help guide our school community. Students earn their place on the team through an application and interview process, demonstrating responsibility, leadership, and a commitment to making a positive impact. The team is made up of representatives from 4th through 8th grade, ensuring a wide range of voices and perspectives. Together, these students lead by example, support school initiatives, and help create a positive and inclusive environment for all.
Mission Statement:
We are leaders who try our best every day. We help others, include everyone, and cheer people on so they can grow stronger and believe in themselves. We lead by example by making good choices, being responsible, and doing the right thing even when it’s hard. We also teach others how to use the 8 habits so everyone can be a leader too. We take pride in our work and never give up, because we know our effort matters.
Together, we use the 8 habits to make our school a kind, safe, and awesome place for everyone.
