We are excited to get the year going with students on campus. Staff have been hard at work getting the campus ready for your return. Teachers have been organizing their classrooms and prepping for this
year's curriculum. Speaking of teachers, we have two new additions to our teaching staff. Denise Wallis will be teaching our 1st /2nd grade combo class as Mrs. Osborne moved to 2nd grade. Mrs. Wallis comes with many years of experience in education in the Redding area as well as the North Coast. We are also
excited to welcome Janae Rochon, teaching 7th grade. Ms. Rochon spent her past years teaching at Anderson Middle School after student teaching at North Cow Creek. Maintenance has been working to
prepare the campus for the start of the school year. Here are the key dates to put in your calendar to kick off the school year:
Tuesday, August 11: TK-8th grade Back to School Night 4:00-6:00PM. This will be a drop-in time for students and parents to meet your teacher and see the classroom.

4:30-5:30 Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten Information Meeting in the Gym

5:30 Sports Parent Meeting in Mrs. Osborne's room. We expect one parent to attend this information meeting regarding all sports for the school year.
Wednesday, August 12: First Day of School (Minimum Day)

7:20 am Students and families may come onto campus for a free pancake breakfast compliments of our Education Foundation
- 8:00 am Campus opens with students invited onto the blacktop
- 8:15 am Classes begin
- 1:00 pm TK-3rd grade students dismissed
- 1:05 pm 4th-8th grade students dismissed
*All Wednesdays this year are minimum days
TK-3 released at 1:00 pm
4-8 released at 1:05 pm
**Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays are regular release times:
T/K-3rd grade = 2:30 pm release
4-8th grade = 3:00 pm release
*** Breakfast is served daily at 7:45 am in the gym. The blacktop opens for morning recess at 8:00 am.
We will continue to use ParentSquare as our primary means of communication. We look forward to doing what we do best-educate the students of North Cow Creek.
Important documents will be coming out on the first day of school. Most of the documents can be signed electronically with a few documents signed and turned in as hard copies. Please complete these documents quickly as the students that have them fully completed will get treats throughout the first few weeks of school.
We are excited to see you on the first day of school on Wednesday, the 12th.
