NCCS Newsletter

Classroom Mission Statements are being collaboratively developed with the students to identify the environment students want to learn in. Mission Statements will be completed and posted by the end of the month. Teachers are also introducing the habits of highly effective people, which will be our focus throughout the year.

The volleyball and soccer rosters have been finalized. Practices continue next week in preparation for the first league games scheduled for September 2nd. Cross Country practices begin next week.

School pictures take place next week.

TK-4th grade will take photos on Tuesday.

Our first evacuation/fire drill will take place on Monday around 8:30 AM. While the students are practicing, parents will get a sample message via Parent Square with instructions that would come in the case of an actual evacuation.

Student's can submit Artwork for our Showcase on September14th. They art will be displayed on Friday, September 18. Please see Ms. Elizabeth in the office to grab art paper.

Encourage your student(s) to get creative and create their masterpiece!

Except for a few absent make-ups, we completed our NWEA assessment. Good job to all of the students who gave 100% effort. These beginning-of-the-year assessments will be used for student goal setting and help teachers optimize student learning this year.

Water Works Park North Cow Creek Night, 6:30-10:00 PM: The Ed Foundation has rented out Water Works Park for North Cow Creek Families. Good Times Pizza will be selling pizza, fries, and drinks.

Thank you, Ed Foundation, for this special event to kick off the school year.

*All Wednesdays this year are minimum days 

       TK-3 released at 1:00

       4-8 released at 1:05 pm.

**Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays are regular release times:

      T/K-3rd grade = 2:30 release

      4-8th grade = 3:00 release

*** Breakfast is served daily at 7:45 in the gym. The blacktop opens for morning recess at 8:00.
